Roundtable on rights of transgender people (22-23 September)

On 22-23 September the EU Fundamental Rights Agency - FRA is hosting a roundtable event jointly organised with the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, entitled 'Rights to equality, life and security of the person: bridging the gap for transgender people'.

The two day event gathers representatives of the EU institutions, international organisations, national governments, equality bodies and civil society organisations.

They will discuss the issue of gender identity in non-discrimination law, transphobic and homophobic speech and crime, and the FRA's upcoming survey on discrimination against and victimisation of LGBT people.
