TGEU research network

TGEU research network was founded in a workshop at the 2nd European Transgender Council in Berlin in May 2008 by the participants of the “MOVEMENT IN ACADEMIA - Networking for the empowerment of International Transgender Studies”-workshop.

The 34 participants of this workshop stated a need:

- to network and collaborate
- to produce articles on transgender subjects
- to translate articles and distribute them
- for a room/space at every Council for transgender academics to meet and exchange experiences
- to create a newsletter about conferences
- to make a glossary of transgender terminology in different languages
