transgender europe 2. Council Berlin 2008
Berlin Public Transport Strike

The Berlin Bus Traffic is partly affected by strike measures. Check our Accommodation & Travel section for more details.

Program Update

The final program including some workshop descriptions is now online. Still, there might be changes of times, venues and titles. Please check the program as it will be posted at the information desk at the Council for updates.

Berlin Public Transport Strike

Many buses in Berlin will not be running from April 30th onward, because of a strike. The airport bus TXL, which runs from Tegel Airport to the city centre is not affected, and runs as normal. However the bus 109, which also normally runs from Tegel, will not be running. From Schönefeld Airport, take the S-Bahn to get into the city centre

Please see below for details on how to get to the Aletto Hostel and the Rathaus Schöneberg.

Please Note:

We are no longer booking accommodation for participants. May 1st - 4th is a holiday weekend in Germany, and affordable places near the Council are becoming increasingly difficult to find. Please book your accommodation yourself as soon as possible.

There will be political demonstrations in Kreuzberg on May 1st, which will cause travel problems in the areas around the train stations "Kottbusser Tor", "Görlitzer Bahnhof" and "Schlesisches Tor" on the U1 train line. We suggest that you stay elsewhere on the night of May 1st.
