A Message from the Steering Committee

Welcome to the TGEU eNewsletter designed to keep our members and supporters up to date with the latest European trans* actions and happenings. It’s only a couple of months since the 3rd European Transgender Council in Malmo, Sweden, and already the host organization for our trans* capacity building event has been chosen!

The Steering Committee is working on a process to draft an intersex policy for TGEU. We would like you to send us feedback on how you see TGEU’s involvement in intersex issues: What do you think would be the best approach to engage and include intersex persons and/or organisations in our work?

The US-based National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and The National Center for Transgender Equality have released a sobering report on discrimination faced by transgender Americans with input from 6,450 participants.

European network of trans* and other organisations that support or work for the rights of transgender/transsexual/ gender variant people, and like-minded individuals. The mission of TGEU is to support and strengthen the trans* movement and to be a powerful lobby and advocacy organisation for trans* rights in Europe and beyond.

Transgender Europe - TGEU works towards full equality for all gender variant people in Europe.
