Supreme Court reforms legal gender recognition process in Poland

TGEU welcomes the landmark decision of the Polish Supreme Court on 4 March 2025, which significantly reforms the legal gender recognition (LGR) process in Poland.

The Parliament of Georgia voted in the third and final reading for laws aimed against LGBTI people by restricting their rights to non-discrimination, health care and education, freedom of speech and peaceful assembly, and the right to security.

Today, the German Parliament has adopted a legal gender recognition law based on self-determination. The new law ends four decades of patronising trans people and declaring trans people as mentally ill.

Germany's self-determination bill moves forward. Although this is a significant step for trans rights, the bill still contains some concerning points.
