TGEU at AIDS 2026: Driving conversations on trans health and HIV prevention

TGEU was proud to contribute to the 26th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2026) in Rio de Janeiro, to help shape global conversations on the future of HIV prevention and the health of trans communities.

TGEU is pleased to announce the five trans-led organisations selected for the 2026 Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP) initiative under the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme.

Trans Advocacy Week is a vital initiative at a time when trans people are often talked about but rarely listened to. Each year, from June to July, a coalition of civil society organisations supports trans activists in amplifying their voices in the UN, one of the world’s most influential human rights spaces. Since 2017, more than 60 trans and gender diverse activists have engaged with the UN in Geneva during Trans Advocacy Week.

The 10th TGEU European and Central Asian Trans Council, taking place from 10–13 September, 2026 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, co-hosted by our members Legebitra and TransAkcija.
