Apply to host the 10th European and Central Asian Trans Council in 2026
The host city of the 10th European and Central Asian Trans Council will be voted for at the TGEU General Assembly on 6 September 2025. We’re looking for an organisation or a group of organisations to host the event. Vienna, Berlin, Malmö, Budapest, Dublin, Bologna, Antwerp, Berlin, St Paul´s Bay – which is the next city?
Your role
The role of the organising group or organisation(s) is to handle the logistics and organising in the host city, such as finding and booking a conference venue and hotel, and to obtain funding for the Council (see below) with support from TGEU’s Board and staff. TGEU will not be able to cover all the costs of the Council, which means the host city needs to come up with a viable plan for obtaining funding and plan the anticipated costs of the Council (see a sample in the application form).
Please note:
- Several organisations can nominate themselves as a group.
- The registration fee for participants needs to be as affordable as possible
TGEU’s support
TGEU will be able to provide technical assistance to help obtain funding and will take full responsibility for securing funding for international scholarships.
TGEU’s Board and Staff will provide support to the organising team throughout the process. Preparing the contents of the Council such as publishing calls, inviting speakers and performers, will be the responsibility of TGEU’s Board and Staff. TGEU will also promote the event through its networks.
Main selection criteria
You must:
- Be a group of at least three people that form the core organising team
- Be able to host an accessible event in 2026.
- Have experience in organising bigger events, including securing funding.
- Be in an EU-based country.
