Join our next PeerNetz session: building peer-led trans healthcare
As part of our Peer Networking Zone (PeerNetz), TGEU is hosting a meeting to explore healthcare designed by and for trans people, rooted in community knowledge and care. We’ll be joined by Trans Healthcare Action, the organisation behind Kindred, Ireland’s first peer-led trans health clinic.
The session will be interactive, with practical exercises and space to explore how Kindred’s experience and lessons could translate to different contexts across Europe and Central Asia.
About the session
Date & time: 15 October, 16:00 – 17:30 CEST
Location: Online via Zoom
Cost: Free
Target audience: Trans communities and activists
What the session will cover
Trans Healthcare Actions will share how Kindred was created through co-creation between the local trans community and allied healthcare professionals, and walk us through the clinic’s foundation, model, structure, services and vision.
The session will also explore how the Irish social, legal and medical landscape shaped their approach, and invite participants to think about their own contexts: What gaps exist in trans healthcare? What community networks and resources are already available? What might help or hinder efforts to build similar community-led care?
